Metal Fabrication Job Shop has a 1st shift position open for a Tool and Die Maker. This individual will be in charge of maintaining and repairing various dies for our production machinery. Candidate must have working knowledge of Lathes, Milling Machines, Precision Surface Grinders, Metal-cutting Band Saws, Drill Press and tapping metal, plus use of various hand tools in a job shop setting. Candidate must be able to makes dies and parts from blueprints and be able to work with close tolerances.
This position works from 6:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays as needed.
Journeyman or Certified Tool and Die Maker is a MUST, with a minimum of 5 years experience. Current hands-on experience with dies; maintaining and repairing metal fabrication background preferred. Shop Math. Minimum of a High School education or G.E.D. required. Must be able to read and understand blueprints, technical information, and spec sheets in order to assure all required tasks for each job are completed properly. Proficient with precision measuring instruments, including calipers, gauges and hand tools. Must have good organizational skills.
